Dental Health for Your Baby Gilbert, AZ
Before the first tooth:
It is important to always keep in mind your babies oral health, even before their first tooth. To help prevent buildup of plaque and bacteria, pediatric dentists and pediatricians recommend that you clean your newborn’s gums with a damp washcloth after feeding. Also, take measures to prevent baby bottle tooth decay. To help prevent this disease that occurs in 15 percent of children, do not put your baby to bed with a bottle or formula or a sugary drink, such as juice. The possibility of tooth decay is directly related to the number if times sweet things are in contact with their teeth.
