Commonly known as “acid wear” or “acid erosion”, acid erosion can result in tooth pain, discolored or yellow teeth. This condition can also make the teeth have a thin or transparent appearance if it is left untreated. These causes are due to the loss of enamel from the surface of the tooth. When the enamel on a tooth is gone, the enamel is then gone for good. Early signs for acid erosion are hard to spot and, often times can only be seen by your dentist. The best option for this is early prevention. This includes regular checkups with your dentist.
